The Dorma DP73 is a Drop Plate for use with the 7300 Series Surface Mounted Door Closers w/o Cover.
DP73— For 7300 Series top jamb mount to clear a surface applied stop/holder. Overhead ceiling clearance must be 1-3/4" (44 mm) or more. Permits parallel arm installation with minimum top door rail of 2-1/2" (64 mm) for non-hold open, 2-3/4" (70 mm) for friction hold open applications (assuming 5/8" [16 mm] stop dimension).

COV — For 7300 and 7400 Series closers, optional slim plastic cover.
FC — For 7400 Series closers, optional full plastic cover with interchangeable tab. Closers are prepared to accept FC covers only when specified with initial closer order.
FCSL — For 7400 Series closers, full plastic slotted cover with interchangeable tab. Mounting holes slotted for low ceiling conditions.
DA — For 8600 and 8900 Series closers, adjustable delayed action. (suffix to model number)
BP640C — For 7400 Series regular, top jamb, or parallel arm mounts. Permits replacement of existing 642–646/641/640 Series closers with 7400 Series closers. Eliminates the need to re-machine the door and frame. Totally concealed when installed. Allows installation of 7400 to retrofit into any closer with a 9-1/16" x 3/4" hole pattern.
BP73 — For 7300 Series top jamb mount when overhead ceiling clearance is less than 2-1/4" (57 mm). Can also be used for regular mount to clear a mortised overhead stop/holder.
BP74 — For 7400 Series top jamb mount when overhead ceiling clearance is less than 2-1/4" (57 mm). Can also be used for regular mount to clear a mortised overhead stop/holder.
BP86 — For top jamb mount of 7300, 7400 and 8600 Series closers with slim plastic cover or top jamb mount of 8600 Series closers when overhead ceiling clearance is less than 2-1/4" (57 mm) or for regular mount to clear a mortised stop/holder.
BP86FC — For 8600 Series top jamb mount with a full cover when overhead ceiling clearance is less than 2-1/4" (57 mm) or for regular mount to clear a mortised stop/holder.
BP89 — For 8900 Series mounting top jamb when frame face is less than 2-7/8" (73 mm). Two sets of mounting holes accommodate 1-3/4" (44 mm) or 3-1/4" (83 mm) minimum ceiling clearance.* Top set of holes create top jamb drop application to clear a surface applied stop/holder. Can also be used for regular mount closer to clear mortised stop/holder.
DP74 — For 7400 Series top jamb mount of 7300 and 7400 Series to clear a surface applied stop/holder. Overhead ceiling clearance must be 1-3/4" (44 mm) or more. Permits parallel arm installation with minimum top door rail of 2-1/2" (64 mm) for non-hold open, 2-3/4" (70 mm) for friction hold open applications (assuming 5/8" [16 mm] stop dimension).
DP86 — For top jamb mount of 7300, 7400 and 8600 Series closers with COV, FC, FCSL, or FMC when overhead ceiling clearance is less than 1-7/8" (48 mm) or to provide clearance for a surface-applied stop/holder. Permits parallel arm installation with a minimum top door rail of 2-1/2" (64 mm) for non-hold open, 2-5/8" (67 mm) for friction, fusible link and plunger hold open applications (assuming 5/8" [16 mm] stop dimension).
DP86FC — For 8600 Series closers, permits parallel arm installation with minimum top door rail of 2-1/2" (64 mm) for non-hold open, 2-5/8" (67 mm) for friction, fusible link, and plunger hold open applications (assuming 5/8" [16 mm] stop dimension).
DP89 — For parallel arm installation of 8900 Series closers when top door rail is less than 5-3/4" (146 mm) for non-hold open and plunger hold open. When top door rail is less than 6" (152 mm) for friction applications (assuming 5/8" (16 mm) stop dimension).
BS — For use with all 8600 and 8900 Series P86, P89, PD, and PHB applications installed on cased frames with applied blade stops. This block is used to provide adequate clearance for the blade stop.
BSHD — For use with all 8600 and 8900 Series DS and SPA applications installed on cased frames with applied blade stops. This block is used in conjunction with the spacer furnished with the arm to provide adequate clearance for the blade stop.
NFHD — For use with all 8600 and 8900 Series DS and SPA applications where total frame depth is less than 4-1/2" (114 mm), prohibiting use of standard spacer block. NFHD bracket is used in lieu of block supplied with arm.
