The Von Duprin 5547EO is a premium, traditional crossbar concealed vertical rod (CVR) exit device designed for architectural environments that demand classic style combined with modern high-security performance. Certified to rigorous ANSI A156.3 Grade 1 standards and UL listed for Accident Hazard installations, this device features internal latching rods hidden entirely inside the door structure. This concealed layout ensures a clean, uncluttered door profile while protecting the critical latching components from physical damage, cart impacts, and vandalism.

This exit-only (EO) configuration features a completely blank exterior face with no outside trim or hardware, maximizing building perimeter security by eliminating tampering points while ensuring safe, immediate, and code-compliant emergency egress from the inside. Built for highly specialized institutional applications, this device is handed and must be specified as Left Hand Reverse (LHR) or Right Hand Reverse (RHR) upon ordering.

Accessories

Strikes and Fasteners
Device is furnished with standard 1409 strike in dull black finish. Sex nuts and bolts for mounting are included for 1-3/4" (44mm) and 2-1/4" (57mm) thick doors.

Cylinders
Cylinders are not furnished with device or trim and must be specified when ordering. Rim and concealed vertical rod exit devices use rim type cylinders. Mortise lock exit devices and series 370 controls use mortise type cylinders.
