Von Duprin 99EO Grooved Case Rim Exit Device
The Von Duprin 99EO is a premium, architectural-grade rim exit device engineered to provide maximum physical security and dependable mechanical performance in high-traffic environments. Unlike the 98 Series which features a smooth housing, the 99 Series is styled with Von Duprin's classic grooved mechanism case, adding structural rigidity and a traditional architectural look. This surface-mounted device is universally suited for all types of single doors, as well as double doors when paired with a central mullion.
This exit-only (EO) configuration features a completely blank exterior face with no outside trim or active key hardware, maximizing building perimeter security by eliminating external tampering points while ensuring instant, code-compliant egress from the inside. Built to simplify facility retrofits, its wide chassis footprint completely covers standard 86 (mortise) or 161 (cylindrical) lock cutouts on single doors, removing the need for custom patching or replacement doors.
All 98 and 99 series exit devices are UL listed for Panic Hardware or
Fire Hardware, and are certified to ANSI A156.3, 2001, Grade1
Many models are also certified for Hurricane Resistant Applications.

Von Duprin push pad exit devices are available in two external surface styles, designated 98 Series and 99 Series. The two styles are mechanically and dimensionally identical and provide a wide selection of appearance options.
