Von Duprin 8875EO Traditional Mortise Crossbar Exit Device

The Von Duprin 8875EO is a heavy-duty, traditional crossbar mortise exit device designed to provide a classic architectural appearance combined with high-security multi-point latching. As opposed to standard rim devices, the mortise design utilizes a lock mechanism embedded entirely within the door core, maximizing defense against forced entry. This rugged, time-tested device is universally engineered for use on all types of single doors and double door configurations.

This exit-only (EO) configuration features a blank exterior face without outside hardware or active key cylinders, preventing external manipulation and optimizing building perimeter security while guaranteeing safe, unhindered egress from the inside. Built to facilitate efficient commercial hardware retrofits, the 8875 chassis scales perfectly over a standard 86 mortise pocket prep on stock hollow metal doors, and it is compatible with standard commercial door stiles as narrow as 4-3/4" (121mm).

The 8875 mortise lock is equipped with a 3/4" (19mm) anti-friction latch bolt which is field reversible without removing the lock from the door. It has a non-handed auxiliary bolt for deadlockiing and a faceplate with an adjustable bevel. Field selection of functions are furnished standard. TP, K or L function may be field selected by removing a set screw. Electric locking or unlocking options are available.All 88 series exit devices are UL listed from Accident Hazard and Fire Exit Hardware, and are tested in accordance to ANSI A156.3, 1994, Grade 1.

Device is furnished with standard 575 strike in dull black.
All necessary mounting fasteners are included.
Optional strikes and finishes must be specified.

Cylinders:

Cylinders are not furnished with device or trim and must be specified when ordering. Mortise lock exit devices and series 370 controls use mortise type cylinders.
