Von Duprin 98NL Smooth Case Rim Exit Device

The Von Duprin 98NL is a premium, architectural-grade rim exit device engineered to deliver superior security, durability, and smooth mechanical performance. While the 99 Series features a grooved mechanism case, the 98 Series is styled with a sleek, smooth mechanism housing to seamlessly blend with modern building aesthetics. This surface-mounted device is universally engineered for all types of single doors, as well as double doors when paired with a central mullion.

This specific model features a Night Latch (NL) function, configured with the 990NL-R&V standard pull trim. In this setup, the exterior handle remains rigid, and entrance from the outside is achieved only by turning a key to momentarily retract the latch bolt. The device is shipped "Less Cylinder," allowing you to field-install a custom rim cylinder to match your facility's master key system. Built with universal retrofitting in mind, it comfortably covers standard 86 (mortise) or 161 (cylindrical) lock cutouts on single doors.
